INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - SWITZERLAND
 | Deadline: 1st of October 2010 The international Sculpture Symposium is going to take place in the courtyard of a castle in Switzerland from June 8th to 19th, 2011.All artists, from Switzerland and abroad, are welcome to take part to the Symposium. There is no registration fee. The organization provides room and board for the participants, at low costs. The organization places the basic material at the disposal of the artists, (stone : block ~ 50 x 50 x 50 c., 200 to 300 kg / wood: length 100 x diameter 50 cm.). one working pedestal, one tent of 3m x 3m. The participants use their own tools. All the work is made by hand. The sculptors have the opportunity to bring two of their works (max. 50 kg) or 4 small pieces (max. 15x15x15 cm) and expose them in the castle’s inside yard (sales may be possible). The pieces should not be too large and heavy. The Committee retains 20% on the selling price. The Sale Committee, made up of two representatives of the artists and the technical representative of the Organization Committee, estimates the value of the works done during the Symposium in agreement with each artist. The final decision is up to the artist. The Sculptures are put on sale during the Symposium. If works are sold, the Committee retains 20% of the selling price. A jury will judge the works and distribute prizes ( the amount is not specified).
