SCULPTURE CONTEST - SPAIN

The present contest has for object the realization of eight sculptures during the X stone festival in a town of Spain. The theme of the festival for the year 2010 is "one century more" and the sculptures and the previous sketches will have to be elaborate on this theme. Artists of all the nationalities can participate in the contest.
The contest will take place in two phases. In the first phase, artists will have to introduce a three dimensional model in clay, wood, stone or plaster, in smaller scale, of the sculpture to be realized later. A local jury will select the 8 projects that will pass to the second phase. The second phase of the contest consists in the realization, on the days 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of May of the 8 projects selected by its authors. The sculptures will be realized in stone on a block of 100 x 40 x 40 cms furnished by the Town hall.
Once finished the sculptures, the 8 artists will be eligible to the following prizes:
First prize - Euro3000
Second Prize Euro 1800
Third Prize Euro1000
Two honorary prizes of Euro 300 each
The non selected projects or sketches can be retired by their authors from the 18 of May within the one month-old term with expenses paid by the authors.
The not winning sculptures can be retired by the authors after the sentence of the jury, in the one month-old term with expenses paid by the authors.
