INTERNATIONAL WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – DENMARK

An International Woodcarving Symposium will take place in Denmark in summer 2023.
10-12 sculptors will be invited.
The selection will be based on the submitted proposal for the sculptures.
The wood for the symposium is oak from Denmark.
The organizers will provide participants with the following materials:
- Hardwood trunk max. 2.5 meters long and approx. 60 - 80 cm in diameter (oak)
- Electric saw (in exceptional cases the use of chainsaws is allowed)
- Power supply 200V 50Hz
- Finishing materials (oil, paint etc...)
- Bench for work tools
Participants are requested to bring all other tools or auxiliary materials.
The commission will provide the artists with:
- All travel expenses from European countries (low cost travel/flights).
- Travel expenses not exceeding 1200 EUR for artists from non-European countries.
- Board and lodging in double room (2 pers. per room) and social activities
- Transportation
- Program with local or cultural stops during the symposium
