INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - EGYPT

The Ministry of Culture is organizing an international sculpture symposium in an Egyptian city to create granite works, which will take place from January 19 to March 9, 2021.
The organization provides the following: - International airfare (from the capital) and national transport - Full board accommodation in a 4 star hotel - single room - (breakfast-lunch-dinner), any additional personal expenses will be charged to the artist. - Organize cultural visits during the symposium period.
The Symposium will provide: - Lifting and moving machines. - Traditional steel chisels (vidia not included). - Diamond cutting discs. - One assistant for each participant (8 hours a day). - The participant is kindly asked to order in advance the stone measurements (height * width * depth) and colors (the dimensions are limited in black granite, usually the Symposium provides the participant with a block of Red Granite weighing 10 tons) . - Cutting saws are not available.
The artist will bring his own tools including grinders (small and large machines).
- The participant will receive 22,000 Egyptian pounds as compensation.
