ARTIST IN RESIDENCE – FINLAND

Artistic residence in Finland in a resort 250 km north of the Arctic circle. The Resort is built in the middle of a forest, surrounded by wild nature where reindeer and other animals from the Arctic area roam.
Inside the Resort there is also an art gallery which hosts 2-3 temporary art exhibitions per year. Each year the gallery hosts an international art / sculpture symposium that attracts artists from all over the world to participate.
The Resort offers a free residence for visual artists from all over the world. The log houses (one for each artist) are located within the resort, surrounded by woods and hills.
The houses have a living room with kitchen and a bathroom with sauna. The kitchen is fully equipped and sheets and towels are also provided.
