INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - NEW ZEALAND

A Stone Sculpture Symposium will take place in January 2020 in New Zealand. It will be followed by a one week exhibition and a public auction of the finished works.
- 25 sculptors will be selected by the selection committee. The decision of the selection committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into. - The symposium organizers provide boulders of andesite presented in rough boulders of approximately 0.5 to 1 m3 each. Any use of a different medium will only be allowed after discussion with the organizing committee. - Food and Accommodation will be provided by the organization. - The symposium takes place in a public space. Respect for the public, adherence to health and safety regulations are essential. - All artists have to bring their own tools. - Only international artists will be provided with a 230 mm and 125 mm angle grinder for use during the symposium. - A storage container for tools is available on site. - Each artist can enter a maximum of two sculptures in the auction at the end of the symposium. - The artist will set the reserve price for the public auction.
