ARTIST IN RESIDENCE- BASQUE COUNTRY

A contemporary art residency program invites professional artists to apply for a four-month artistic stay that will take place from spring 2020 in a protected area of the Basque Country. This residence is dedicated to research and creation.
The approach proposed by the artist, and outlined in the note of intent, must be specific to the context of the residence.
At the expense of the organization:
- Scholarship of € 1400 per month of actual presence in residence for a total of € 5600.
- Travel: participation in the reimbursement of expenses (max 500 €)
- Production support (max € 1200)
Commissions charged to the artist:
- Costs associated with everyday life (food, travel and transportation during residence ...).
- The artist must compulsorily sign the liability and the rental insurance for the duration of his stay. A certificate must be attached to the hosting contract.
The organization offers:
- accommodation in a two-room apartment,
- a space for creation,
- wifi access
- Water, electricity and wifi charges.
The apartment and the place of creation are located in the heart of the protected natural site oblige the artist to strictly respect the rules of the place. (Cars, bikes, dogs are prohibited)
No IT equipment is available.
