INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE WORKSHOP - TAIWAN

A foundation is promoting a sculpture workshop to be held in Taiwan, from 22 October to 21 November 2019. National and international artists can apply. Theme: Traveling with Sculpture
Mode: 11 artists will be invited after being examined. The event will take place outdoors with the creation of sculptures on the spot; the entire creation process will be open to the public.
The Organizer will supply the artists with water, electricity, work table, work tent, air compressor and stone-cutting machine. Materials provided by the Organization: Stone or other material chosen with better resistance to atmospheric agents and permanent placement (eg metal, copper, iron and stainless steel). Dimensions: actual dimensions of a single work or a sculptural complex must be greater than 2.5 cubic meters.
The organizer will provide NT $ 70,000 for the manufacture of the models and foreign artists will receive an additional NT $ 30,000 to cover transport costs; Furthermore, the works produced during the workshop will become the property of the BenQ Foundation.
Awards - Artists working in stone will receive NT $ 250,000
- Artists working with copper will receive NT $ 180,000
