An art isnstitute organize an International Artist-in-Residence program, which will be carried out from March 20th to April 20th, 2019,in Brazil and opens an artist call to select 4 visual artists.
About the Residency
During the four-week residency, selected artists will create contemporary art works and installations – permanent and / or temporary interventions – around the 25 acres of the Institute. The program seeks to give visibility to the artistic practices that question the contradictions and ambivalences of the complex relationship between art and nature.
The Program Offers
U$ 500 (five hundred American dollars) which includes artist’s payment, research and production costs of at least one new art work;
Travel costs (round-trip) from the artist’s place of residence to the Institute and back;
Breakfast, lunch, dinner;
Accommodation in a shared room;
The residency will have a visiting program with international and Brazilian curators and will also host visits of established artists who have researches and experiences on the approach of the residency;
