INTERNATIONAL WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - ITALY

An Italian Tourist Association is organizing an International Symposium of Sculpture in Wood in July, 2018 in cooperation with a musemu of popular art.
Participants
Sculptors from all over the world have the possibility to join the symposium. On the basis of good skills and high profile sculptors can be chosen for participating without an application by the organizing committee and the jury of experts directly.
Terms and conditions
The participants must be sculptors.
Each sculptor will receive a rough bole from a larch (green set) with max. 2,20 m length and 0,60 m diameter as a whole bole or divided in half. The wood could be delivering also in pieces. The object has to be created at minimun by 50 % from the available wood. A second material could be used (purchase and costs are for the account to the sculptor).
The following auxiliary means will be offered to the participants:
1. Protection from rain and sun (tent)
2. Current supply (220 Volt)
Other tools have to be brought by the sculptors. It is allowed to use tools with combustion engine, while pneumatic chisels are not allowed.
Exhibition facilities
The attendees get the opportunity to exhibit up to three objects brought by them in an own exhibition during the symposium
Working hours
Daily from 8.30 to 19.00
Benefits by the organizer
1. Every participant gets a contribution towards costs of 700,00 € (net amount)
