INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SCULPTURE - FRANCE

A French town organizes an International Sculpture Symposium from 5th to 13th May 2018.
Material
The organization will provide each professional artist with :
a bloc of limewood or any other species cut down last winter with approximate dimensions of 150 cm (height) x 50 cm up to 80 cm in diameter.
or 6 pieces of limewood 150 cm (length) x 20 cm (width) x 6 cm (depth) for the making of a sculpture in low relief (approximate dimensions)
or block of stone (unspecified origin ) : 1/2 m3 maximum.
or metal (lead - copper – pewter – bronze, etc…)
or any other durable material
Awards
At the end of the symposium, the Committee will organize :
- The prize for the choice of the public will only concern the sculptors working wood. The winner will receive the sum of 1,800 € in exchange for his/her accomplished piece of work.
- The jury prize, named by the Jury of the Festival will concern all of the sculptors. The prize winner of the best artistic creation will receive 500 € and remain proprietor of their piece of work.
- Children’s jury award will be granted an original creation.
- The jury reserves the right to set a special prize worth 100 €.
All participating artists will receive a certificate of participation in the International Symposium of sculpture.
