INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – TURKEY

An International Sculpture Symposium will be held by a Fine Arts University and a Turkish town. The International Sculpture Symposium will be held between the dates of June 15 – July 15, 2016.
8 artists of whom four are Turkish and four are foreigners will be selected by a qualified jury to participate in the symposium.
The organization will provide:
- granite block or blocks cut according the will of each artist, but not exceeding 2m³ totally
- 5 pieces of Granite cutter diamond discs.
- installation, base of the artworks and required materials
- 220V electricity, extension cord and compressor for pneumatic tools and their extension hoses with canopy
- Artists are obliged to make their own accident insurances.
Food and accommodation will be covered by the organization.
Travel expenses will be refounded.
Honorarium
- 3000$ (Three thousand Dollars) will be paid as general expenses and royalty to each artist who performs the artwork in the location and period granted to him/her.
- 1000$ (One thousand Dollars) will be paid to each participating student who will participate in the symposium.
- Artists are obliged to attend in the symposium location and to comply with the symposium schedule within the working hours.
