FIGURATIVE PAINTING AND SCULPTURE COMPETITION - SPAIN

A Spanish foundation organizes a figurative painting and sculpture competition.
The contest is organized according to the following bases:
a. All artists may participate.
b. One work for artist (artists may participate in both categories).
c. The work must be realized by the artist only, and it has to be of the artist’s property.
d. Free theme and technique, but always within the discipline of Figurative Art.
e. Technical skill and originality of the subject will be assessed.
Painting:
The minimum dimensions are set to 40 x 40 cm and the maximum size 300 x 200 cm.
The work must be presented unframed.
Protected works with glass will not be accepted (if necessary, methacrylate)
Sculpture:
The minimum dimensions are set to 40 cm and maximum to 200 cm (excluding pedestal or support).
There is no limitation on weight or volume, but the artist must inform the organization if the piece exceed 100 kg.
Award:
The amount allocated by the Foundation for prizes and purchasing of works is allocated as follows:
- First Prize Painting is set up to 36,000 €, depending on the value of the work done by the author.
- It is established a Purchase Sculpture award of € 40,000.
