INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART - GERMANY

A German Sculpture organization announces an art event with a symposium in July 2015 and one-year exhibition. The event will take place in Germany.
12 international artists will be invited.
The event will deal with the various interpretations of the motto “Elixir of Life” and inquires and quarries for suitable recipes and is looking for new points of view and spontaneous responses by the art, profound or by pure chance all over the world.
Media:
Any artistic means of expression (sculptures, painting/drawings, installation, etc.), which are suited for a one-year-outdoor-exhibition in the spa gardens, are desired. Projects such as of educational, enlightening, experimental and playful character (like walk-in mazes, kinetic objects etc.) or projects with process character (for example Land Art) are also welcome.
The materials are free to choose.
Services provided by the organizers:
-The artists will receive for the creation, installation and dismantling of the artwork an fee of 1.000,- € pre tax). The fee will be paid after the completion of the artwork and after the participation at the vernissage.
-If the material is provided by the artist himself the artist will receive up to 300,- € (after presentation of the invoice).
Otherwise the artist will receive free material in situ.
More extensive projects can also be submitted and optionally be realized (a detailed and plausible cost evaluation has to be handed in therefore).
-Travel expenses (shortest route according to a route planner) from a distance of more than 300 kilometer will be paid for – 0,15 € /km according to the travel expense law.
-Free lodging at a 4-star Hotel including breakfast and dinner, cultural program;
-formation of an independent jury (artists, cultural organizations, organizers)
-documentation of the event
-technical support on an agreement basis
-cultural program (vernissage, finissage)
