INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – TURKEY

An International Sculpture Symposium shall be held in Turkey between the dates of September 15 – October 15, 2014.
8 artists shall participate in the Symposium. In case Jury deems necessary, it may change number of participants.
Clay shall be used as sculpture material.
Although there is no particular theme of the symposium, artwork proposals of the participants are expected to be figurative.
Artist participating in the symposium may be accompanied by an assistant. Furthermore, 5 students from a local Sculpture Department shall be involved in the symposium in order to assist the artists.
Accommodation:
Accommodation (in the same or separate rooms optionally), transportation, breakfast, lunch and dinner of participating artists, assistants and student assistants shall be borne by yhe Municipality.
Transportation includes economic class roundtrip airfare for all artists and assistants, intercity travel expenses for student assistants, and also, arrival from airport and bus terminal to symposium location. Each artist and assistant shall bear airplane ticket, student assistants shall bear transportation expenses, when they arrive, their expenses shall be paid to the participants by the municipality.
Net 3000 € (Three thousand EURO) shall be paid as general expenses and royalty to each artist who performs the artwork in the location and period granted to him/her.
Amount determined for artist assistant is 500 € (Five hundred EURO).
The fee to be provided for student assistants has been determined as 250 € (two hundred fifty EURO).
