INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP OF SCULPTURE - GERMANY

An International workshop of sculpture takes place in a German town. Artists from Germany or abroad can apply for the 2014 edition. Up to 15 places are available. This year, works will be mainly realized with granite, which is naturally existent in the stone pit. Wood, metal or a combination of these materials, as well as light- and sound installations will be allowed. Artists may submit a study of their idea in order to apply for the workshop. The symposium starts on 18th of august and ends on august 31st 2014. Granite, metal and wood will be provided but tools for the realization of the work are to be brought by the artists. On request, and if available, some tools can be lent out from the organizer. Artists will receive 700€. The cost to be covered for accommodation and meals is 150€. Refund for travel expenses (single journey): - 100km - 30€ - 300km - 60€ - more than 300km - 90€ The artists can choose to overnight in a tent, in a caravan or in the "Germanenhaus" (cabines with a straw roof) near the stone pit (no cost for this option). Artists must put at disposal for exposition the works made during the workshop . The organization reserve the right to keep the 50% of the sales for future workshops. The symposium and the objet d'art realised will be published in a catalogue.
