EXHIBITION PROJECT – ITALY

An Italian town is carrying out an exhibition on the forest in order to tell the stories of the trees with the aim to arise emotions to the visitor. The exhibition includes the installation of 6 permanent works in wood, with thematic character.
Theme of the project: the Tree of Life as an element or its vital and functional components (bark, roots, branches, leaves, breathing, vital role in the ecosystem, the importance for men, etc..).
Each work must also be accompanied by a brief explanation (maximum 20 lines in A4 page) about its symbolic meaning and its. Each work, at the discretion of the artist, must be made of larch wood or other durable material, suitable for a constant exposure to the elements. It is allowed to use an alternative material for additional components, unless for synthetic material, and capable of prolonged exposure to the elements.
Sizes: height 160-300 cm, width 60-250 cm, depth 50-150 cm .
Installation of the works.
The organization will provide as the necessary space to the installation of the work as basement made of wood or concrete anchored to the ground on which to fix the work properly. The installations must be safe and resistant to atmospherical agent action.
Refunds
The organization will offer accommodation with half board for 4 nights and a total reimbursement of € 1,300 for each selected artist .
