INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF SCULPTURE - FRANCE
 | Deadline: 15th February 2014 Dominique Renaud, AIESM Agent, organizes, in collaboration with a Municipality in France, a symposium of monumental sculpture. Ten artists will be selected to participate: 5 Sculptors in Wood and 5 Sculptors in Stone. Free theme. The event will take place from 27th July to 3rd August 2014 Materials.- Wood: The organization will provide to the participants an oak trunk of 4m length and 80cm of diameter, free of charge. The size of the vertical work must be between 4.50 and 3.50 m in height and no more than 2m in width. Stone: Vosges Sandstone of approximately 1.60 x 0.60 x 0.60 m (1 m3) will be provided. A compressor will also be available. The use of a grinder or chainsaw will be limited to two mornings. Refund: The organization will pay 1000 EUR to each artist if the sculpture is finished and presented in time. Accommodation The artists selected will be welcomed from 26th July to 3rd August. Accommodation and food will be covered by the organisation during the entire Symposium, until Monday 4th August.
