SYMPOSIUM: SCULPTING WITH CHAINSAW – GERMANY

This Symposium is a private initiative which is supported by only a few sponsors. Therefore the financial return of the expenses can only be marginal.
The 9. International Sculpting with Chainsaw will take place from 24.04. to 03.05.2014 in the studio of a German sculptor located 40 km from Berlin Centre

Terms:
Every applicant has to be an artist in his/her main profession or an advanced art student. Every applicant must have a vocational insurance.
Every participant works on his own risk and liability and has to bring his own protective work wear.
An Oak trunk (or other kinds of wood) of different length and more than 50 cm diameter will be provided
For each participant.
Likewise chainsaw oil and petrol, tools for woodcarving knifes.
All other material necessary to realize the sculpture will be brought by the artists.
The created sculptures must be prepare for solid presentation to erected on concrete or wood ore on the earth.
Ownership of the sculptures developed in the period of the Pleinair will be the artists. The created sculptures will be presented for sale during the art market.
In case of sale, the event`s organization receives 25% of the price as mediation charge.
Accommodation will be provided free of charge in 1- or 2-bed rooms.
Standard food will be provided free of charge.
Each participant has an allowance for travel expenses: foreigners: guaranteed minimum 250eu/
German: guaranteed minimum 50,- to 100 eu
