CALL FOR AIRPORT ARTWORK – ITALY

A Superintendence for the Architectural, Artistic, Historical, Landscape, and Ethnographic Heritage is the launch an international invitation to artists to express interest in creating an artwork that will be sited outside of the new building of the Airport of Italian City.
The artwork will be in harmony with the environment and integral to the airport renovation project, which is currently under completion.
The allocated budget for this project is 150.000eu/198,270usd+VAT.
The budget furthermore covers for the concept, design, fabrication, delivery and installation of the artwork as well as and any necessary collaboration, if needed, with other professionals that will be involved in the production of the artwork.
– Delivery, Penalties and Method of Payment
The artwork shall be delivered within 8 months from its commissioning date
Payment will be made as follows:
- 40% on commission as down payment
- 50% upon installation of the artwork;
- 10% after the safety testing of the artwork is completed.

This Call is open to Italian and international artists, that are domiciled in Italy
The applicants can apply as an individual artist or as an artist team but they are allowed to propose one single project only. If opting for applying as an artist team, the members of the team shall designate a lead artist as represent
