INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - NEPAL

Mr.Om Khattri, AIESM manager for Nepal, in collaboration with Nepal Academy of Fine Arts is organizing International Sculpture Symposium will take place from 17th September to 1st October, 2013 first in this Touristic place. The material to be carved is a local type of sandstone. The stones uneven shapes found in the river bank of near the city. About one to five tones in size are to be chosen by participants in some of the collections by the organiser. Any special desire, concerning to add of the materials artist should arrange and to be announced to the organisers in advance. The workplace is situated in the tourist site along with the Lake, at Friendship Park. The workplace is equipped with 220v electricity small grinder and ordinary 4"disks will be arranged and a shelter for tools and with a common tent where for relax, eating etc
The grant, settled at 20,000 Nepali rupees/211 USD/159EU for personal expenses, is awarded each participant in the end of the Symposium. The organiser provides participants’ accommodation including food and activities organized by the Symposium. Local Transportation to workshop spot will be arranged by the organiser. Discussions, cultural excursions and other events take place during the Symposium.

17-September-1st October - Workshop
20th - September - Sightseeing around the City
1st - October - Closing ceremony of the Symposium,
