INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF SCULPTORS - CHILE

A cultural association organizes the second meeting for sculptors, that it will take place in a Chilean city from 15 to November 30th 2013.
A total of 20 sculptors will participate that will have to work on the theme The Nature and/or the native people"
The organizers will invite 8 sculptors that have participated in the first edition, 2 sculptural foreigners, affirmed and recognized for their career and 10 selected sculptors.
Before the Meeting the sculptors will have to participate in a workshop in the days 8, 9 and 10 November, the presence is obligatory, as the meetings and the activities of preparation organized by the association.
The sketch, the material and the place of position will be defined in the days of meeting.
The sculptures must be create with the available materials in the Park (stone, branches, trunks, clay). The sculptors that desire to use other materials, will be responsible for the purchase and the transport.
The meeting will be closed on December 5 with the ceremony of closing.
The organization will furnish the materials for the position of every work as the transport of the artwork and of the materials inside the Park.
The zone of job will be furnished of illumination and electricity (220v), fuel and necessary lubricant for the equipment.
The basic tools and the equipment for the protection will be available, so that every sculptor will have to bring the own tools
The artwork has to be realized according to the plan of job. The sculpture will have to respect the safety conditions, also during to the phase of assemblage.
The Organization at the end of the meeting will deliver a Certificate of Presence and an amount of 300.000 pesos as economic support, the organizer will cover the costs of lodging and food of the sculptors and the assistants for the duration of the event.
The sculptors will have to bring a cd/dvd with photo or video of the artworks or that shows the working sculpture to be projected during the time of job.
The realized works will be of exclusive ownership of the Park and the Community of the City
