ARTWORKS OF PAPER - ITALY

An Italian Cultural Association , on the occasion of the biennial of art announces a Contest for artworks in paper. The Contest is finalized to the realization of projects in paper or similar and it is bound to the predominant use of these materials. Purpose of the contest is the promotion of the paper as material for the artists.
The main material for the artwork is Paper and similar stuff derived by the recycle. The projects will have to foresee the main use of papery materials.
The project has to respect the general theme proposed by the organization: "liquid Identity
Maximum dimensions of volume are 4 x 4 x 4mt.
The project has to be impermeable and fireproof, statically stable doesn't have to present points of possible danger for the people.
SCHEDULE TIME OF THE CONTEST
For explanations and questions within November 23rd 2013.
Delivery of the elaborate within Saturday November 30th 2013.
Result and notification to the participants February 1st 2014.
Deadline for Project planning 22 February 2014.
Communication to the final participants 31 March 2014
Working time: 30 May / June 27th 2014.
Exhibition Biennial 28 June to August 2nd 2014.
Dismantlement within August 9th 2014.
Prize
A cash prize (2000 eu/2,620usd) will be assigned to the winner.
The organization has identified some places for the installations, it is possible to take vision on the web site
The selected artists will be guests of the organization, and their accommodation and trip will be paid. The costs of food is charged to the artists
The following facilities will be available for realization of the proposal:
An assistant for four days - (3 for the assemblage, 1 for the dismantlement)
Material of hardware and wood for a maximum of 400 Eu/525 usd
Tools and exchanges for a maximum of 200 Eu/262 usd
Paper and cardboard without limitations
Every request exceeds the present availabilities will be charged to the artist
