SCHOOL ARTWORK - IRELAND

An Irish School wishes to commission an artist to create an outdoor permanent artwork or installation inspired by the concept of discovery. It should engage the senses and provide students of all ages with innovative ways of seeing, hearing, experiencing or thinking about the world around them.
The piece should be informed by the ethos of the school and may involve the students in a participatory process. The organizer is open to proposals from all visual arts disciplines and will consider applications on the basis of meeting the aims of the project.

Artwork Lifespan
School management would like artists to ensure that proposals for permanent artworks are durable and suitable for their location.

Nationality
The competition is open to Irish, EU and non EU artists.

The selection will be through a two stage process.
Site Visits
Will only be available for Stage 2 artists only

Stage 2 artists will be paid 500eu each

Total Commission Funding Available 57,000 eu
