CALL FOR MULTI-ART – ITALY/FRANCE

An Italian association and a French association organize a movable laboratory that privileges the artistic interventions and the searches and interdisciplinary in specific place, on the markets of the squares of the Cities.
The project will take place around two years 2013 and 2014 and will gather 12 participants around specific point of interest as art, design and graphic design. The project will be open to various disciplines: visual arts, design, graphic design, architecture, urbanism, scenography and search in historical, anthropological and sociological area.
The project will consider the public space through several of activity: a workshop and a series of conferences in the two cities; public presentations and an mobile exposure in the two markets. This activities will favor the creation of a local net for the support of the search and the interdisciplinary experimentation.
A workshop of interdisciplinary search will be organized in the two cities for all of 12 participants in October 2013 in Italy and in November in France.
a period for artistic and theoretical production will allow the participants to formulate and to formalize the knowledges and the experiences acquired during the workshop (winter 2013-spring 2014).
An movable exposure will take place in September 2014 in France and October 2014 in Italy and it will make available to the public the results of the effected searches, introducing the projects realized by the participants.
The duration of the exposure will be of 3 general weeks in the two cities and in the same time will be shown cultural events.
The project will be illustrated in the publication of a bilingual catalog.
ELIGIBILITY
In total 12 participants will be selected
The candidates must have been born and / or resident and / or working in Europe;
under 41 years old ;
to have completed the studies of base and to show their professionalism through previous works; to be available to stay in Italy in October 2013 and in France in November 2013 during the 3 general weeks of the workshop and being present in the phases of preparation of the exposure in September 2014 in France and October 2014 in Italy
The French and / or Italian language fluent is obligatory, the knowledge of the English is preferable.
The organizer will cover cost for:
A fee 1000 eu will be paid to each participant; during the workshop and during the assemblage of the exposure. The organizer will provide with food, accommodation and travel costs.
A budget of production can be available, it has to be arranged with the organizer in relation to the works and the interventions, in according to the nature of the project proposed by the candidate
