A firm with its business in marble in collaboration with the Committee organizer of the Fair of the craftsmanship artistic and traditional of an Italian City, intends to promote a contest of design for the planning of urban furnishings that valorizes the use of the local stone.
Proposal of the contest
The contest has as proposal the ideation of products of design that valorizes the characteristics of the local stone by innovative forms and workmanships, however without neglecting the handicraft workmanship.
The planning of three urban furnishings is required. The stone has to be the main matter
- a outdoor bench; cm 200*80*60 (h)
- a bin; cm 50*50*80 (h)
- a bike parking; cm 80*60*40 (h)
Integrations are admitted with other materials:
- ferrous materials;
- plastic materials;
- wood;
- glass.
Prizes
- 2.000 eu to the first placed;
- 1.000 eu to the second and the third placed
The winner will earn a 10% royalty on each sold piece,
if the proposal will be commercialized, even if eventually they will be modified for demands of production.
Requirement to enroll
The contest of design is free and is open to all the subjects of any nationalities with her qualification of:
- architects;
- engineers;
- designer;
- graduates, students at:
_ University of Architecture;
_ University of Engineering;
_ University with courses of degree in design;
_ University with courses of degree in industrial design;
_ Accademia of Fine Arts;
_ School of Design.
