An Italian museum of contemporary art announces an international competition of artists, aimed at the creation of art projects for the Museum.
The competition, named “Programma Artisti in Residenza”, calls for the presentation of an artistic project and provides, thanks to a period of residence of four months (August - November and February - May), the possibility to create works within the Museum’s spaces.
After the creation phase, an exposition of around two months will follow (December - January and June - July), included in the exhibition program of the Museum.

The competition is directed toward national and international artists, it proposes the development of a new way of understanding the relationship between artist and Museum. The competition seeks to value and promote young people, oriented in research and experimentation with their own languages through the allocation of creative residencies in which one can spend a work period with the objective of developing an artistic project.
The project will be finalized with the realization of a work (installation, video, performance art, etc.) intended for public viewing.

A studio will be assigned to each of the resident artists for the development of personal research and the creation of a project conceived especially for the residential spaces.
Through the collaboration and discussion with the staff of the Museum, the artist will have the possibility to actively participate in the dynamics of the institution and to benefit from the necessary support to finalize the project.
