INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE CONTEST 2014 – ARGENTINA

The Government of an Argentine Province and an Art Foundation will organize the Biennial Sculpture Exhibition in the main city of the Province from July 12 to July 19 of 2014.
Awards will consist of:
First Award: 10,000.00 usd and plaque.
Second Award: 4,000.00 usd and plaque.
Third Award: 3,000.00 usd and plaque.
OSDE Award: 1,000.00 usd and plaque.
Sculptors' Award: 1,000.00 usd and plaque.
Kids´Award 1,000.00 usd and plaque.
The 15 Participants will receive 3,500.00 usd, a medal and a certificate.
The participating sculptures will be exhibited during a term of 60 days
Art works should comply with the following conditions:
For the 15 selected artists:
Topic: "Homo Novus".
The sculpture to be exhibited should be original and unprecedented.
Sculpture must be sculpted on 2 stainless steel plates of 1,500x 3,000 x 2 meters thick each one.
Artists will be provided with 220 v electric power in order to use electrical tools (plasma, welder, which will be provided by the Organizing Committee).
Sculptors should bring their own tools, including grinders.
The Organizing Committee will allow artists to request assistance in case they need to fold plates with special shapes possible.
Sculptors will work outdoors, under any weather conditions.
The stay expenses of the participating Sculptors and guests will be on account of the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee will also pay the transport expenses from Buenos Aires – Location – Buenos Aires in a Bed Bus, including dinner on board (duration of the trip: 12 hours approximately).
