INTERNATIONAL AMBER ART PRIZE - GERMANY
 | 3rd International Amber Art Prize of the Baltic Rim countries 2013 Supported by: a German City and Amber Museum The aim is to inspire new contemporary artistic works on the theme of amber and present them to a wide public. The theme of the 2013 amber art prize is: no theme The 3rd International Amber Art Prize will be awarded for works in the genres jewellery, sculpture, installation appliance video/photo The prize is worth 25,000 eu in total. Nine top prizes will be awarded: Three first prizes of 4,500eu, 4,000eu and 3,500eu will be awarded for works in the above categories. Three second prizes of 3,000eu, 3,000eu and 2,500eu will be awarded for works in the above categories. Three third prizes of 2,000eu, 1,500 eu and 1,000eu will be awarded for works in the above categories. The submitted works must be wrought of Baltic amber (Baltic or North Sea amber) or contain Baltic amber in combination with other materials. Other types of amber are not permitted. The natural amber in the submitted works may be processed in various techniques.
Artists and craftspeople from the Baltic Rim countries may apply. The submitted works should have been created after 2009. The works selected for the exhibition by the international jury will be displayed in a special exhibition of the German Amber Museum for a period of 5 months from 8th June to 31st October 2013.
