INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF SCULPTURES – FRANCE

The 6th symposium of sculptures of stone will take place from 25 August 2013 to 01 September 2013 in France. For this edition the organization gives a challenge to the sculptors: 5 stones of a local kind of limestone, tender, very diffused and famous. It is used for sculptures and for the buildings. Five blocks will be given to the sculptor’s disposal for their proposal about the theme: The Nature and the man
The sizes of the five stones:
100 cm x 90 cm x100 cm
70 cm x 60 cm x 160 cm
120 cm x 100 cm x 80 cm
90 cm x 90cm x 110 cm
90 cm x 90cm x 110 cm
The organization will pay 1,000eu (1.330usd) to all sculptors. Travel costs will be reimbursed by the association according to the scale below:
Travel expenses (car): 0 to 100 km = 50 eu - 100 to 400 km = 150 eu - 401 to 800 km =250 eu - 801 to 1200 km = 350 eu - more than 1200 km = 450 eu.
Accommodation and meals will be provided by the organization for the duration of the symposium.
