An Public Art Commission and the Main Street District invite the Artist for the 17th Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. Up to five sculptures will be selected and displayed in City from May 2013 to April 2014.
Each selection will merit a 1,000usd honorarium per sculpture. In addition, a 500usd‘Best in Show’ award will be given in Fall of 2013.
A total of three entries may be submitted per artist.
The Public Art Commission advertises the availability of Annual Outdoor Sculptures for purchase by private parties, and no commission is charged on any sale of work. The Public Art Commission selects art for a variety of public places and buildings, and may recommend that the City purchase or commission a work by an exhibition artist for the City permanent art collection.
Many past winners have been purchased by the city for its permanent collection.
